Flags

For an annual $30 donation, business subscribers in the Lake City and Shoreline neighborhoods get a flag put up on 11 special days: Martin Luther King Day (Jan.), Presidents Day (Feb.), Armed Forces Day (May), Memorial Day (May), Flag Day (June), Independence Day(July), Labor Day (Sept), Columbus Day (Oct.), General Election (Nov.), Veterans Day(Nov.), and Pearl Harbor Day(Dec.). This is a wonderful way to show our patriotism while at the same time the money collected supports the services we provide to the community. If you are interested in getting flag services call the Lake City Community Center, (206) 362-4378, for more information or go to the Contact Us page and request someone to contact you.

Lake City Way Christmas Decorations

Youth and Family Services [current report]

The Lake City Lions Clubs does not provide any direct youth or family services. Instead we support the organizations in our neighborhood that do. This includes:

North Helpline Food Bank Lake City Lions Club members help with unloading trucks or picking up items from stores.

North Seattle Family Center Lake City Lions Club members support activities such as the Family Center's annual Fright Night. Lion Club members provide warm pizzas, as well as participating in a flashlight patrol for the children trick-or-treating at local businesses.

Lions International Peace Poster Contest Lake City Lions Club members sponsor this poster contest in cooperation with local schools or family centers.

"Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time, and always start with the person nearest you."

- Mother Teresa

Since 1917, Lions clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their communities. From involving members in projects as local as cleaning up an area park or as far-reaching as bringing sight to the world's blind, Lions clubs have always embraced those committed to building a brighter future for their community. Today with more than 46,000 clubs in 196 countries and geographical areas, Lions have expanded their focus to help meet the ever-increasing needs of our global community.

Our programs are continually changing to meet new needs and greater demands, but our mission has never wavered: "We Serve."
